History of Chrysler Building
This monument bears a great history. Its construction work was started in 1928 and was completed in 1930. Height of its Antenna spire is 1,050 ft and its top floor is at height of 899 ft from ground level. It have total of 77 floors and area of its floors is cant 1,195,000 sq units. It was architected by William Va Alen. Chrysler Building was added to NRHP in year 1976. It have one strange and interesting record of being world's tallest building for 11 months after that it was surpassed by the Empire State Building in 1931. But it again became world's second tallest building after destruction of the World Trade Center. It pushes to 3rd rank (in tallest building lists) after Bank of America Tower and was pushed to 4th when the under construction One World Trade Center surpassed their height.
